Carrie Prejean Sex Tape: Video "Biggest Mistake of My Life" Says Ex-Miss California USA

NEW YORK (CBS/AP) Dethroned beauty queen Carrie Prejean calls an X-rated sex video of herself "the biggest mistake of my life."

Prejean, the former Miss California USA, says she made the sex flick of herself alone when she was 17, for an ex-boyfriend.

The 22-year-old beauty queen confirmed the existence of the tape to Fox News Monday night.

She told NBC's "TODAY" Show Tuesday that the tape was for private use, but said that did not justify it.

“All I know is there is a campaign against me trying to silence me,” Prejean said. “They tried to embarrass me. They tried to humiliate me. They tried to attack me. And I’m still standing.”

The X-rated video surfaced during a negotiating session with Miss California pageant officials over a lawsuit Prejean filed against the organization for stripping her of her crown earlier this year. When the tape’s existence was revealed, Prejean settled her suit with the pageant, which reportedly paid her $100,000 to go toward her legal expenses.

Prejean was fired in June. She believes she lost her crown because of her political views. Pageant organizers said she was skipping official events.

In August, Prejean sued Miss California USA organizers for libel, slander and religious discrimination. She accused them of telling her to stop mentioning God, even before she made controversial remarks against gay marriage.

The pageant countersued Prejean last month, claiming the buxom blonde still owed them $5,200 for the breast implants they helped her buy.

A legal standoff between Carrie Prejean and Miss California USA officials reportedly ended when a Pageant lawyer played his trump card: a sex tape far more hard-core than the nude pictures which had previously scandalized her – and in which she had the starring role.
After being shown the hardcore home video - in which she apparently engages in a solo sex act - Prejean dropped her million-dollar-plus demands, TMZ.com reports, and bolted from the negotiating table.
The tape has never been released publically.
The negotiations war ends with Prejean getting zilch, TMZ.com reports. Pageant officials will reportedly pay her lawyers and a publicist $100K, with nothing going directly to her. 
The settlement also relieved Prejean of any financial obligations to pageant organizer K2Productions - including repaying her breast augmentation surgery.
Prejean, who was stripped of her Miss California crown in June, had filed suit against pageant officials claiming religious discrimination. 
She found herself an unlikely political lightening rod and cause celebre for the Right for voicing faith-based opposition to gay marriage during the Q&A portion of the Miss USA pageant.
Prejean subsequently found herself squarely in the sites of Perez Hilton, the judge who'd asked the question.
The openly gay celebrity blogger excoriated Prejean on his Web site, and suggested her answer might have cost her the Miss USA title.
Officials say they relieved her of the title for failure to attend contractually-obligated appearances.
In addition to accusing her of failing to repay $5200 for the breast augmentation, their counter-suit alleged Prejean broke her contract and lied about sem-nude photos.
"We’re so glad to be back in the business of beauty and out of the litigious system that is Carrie Prejean," Keith Lewis, of K2 Productions, told the Daily News. "It’s wonderful to put this behind us."
